Max Gonzalez did it all for IACL on Monday evening as he led the club in an 11-0 victory over Century 21. Working on a limited pitch count in his first start of the season, Gonzalez proved to be efficient using 50 pitches to get through 4 full innings while striking out 7.  As great as Gonzalez was on the mound, he was even better at the plate.  Max led the IACL offense reaching base in all 4 of his plate appearances including a HBP & 3 doubles to drive in 5!  Riley Pineiro was the spark for IACL that got everything started.  Batting in the lead off spot, Riley did nothing except get on base and score.  Riley walked and collected 3 hits while scoring 4 times.  Also reaching base four times & scoring four times for IACL was Roddy Morinho.  Roddy walked & doubled twice while knocking in two runs.  Anthony Basora added to the IACL offense with 2 RBI's.

 

Century's Adam Foley & Ryan Brown had solid pitching efforts in defeat while combining for 12 strikeouts.  Joseph Brennan also backed his pitchers by playing some solid defense at short.  Also for Century, Tyler Lopez collected his first little league hit with a well stroked double to right field!  Also getting his first LL hit was Kenny Robledo.  Congrats boys!

 

For the season, IACL improved to 2-0!
