Mad Max Rallies Bogle!!

Max Gonzalez made his debut for Lyndhurst Juniors a successful one as the Boglemen held on to defeat North Arlington 2 by a score of 9-8. Max threw 2 shutout innings to begin the game, then transitioned behind the diamond for the remainder of the evening.

Abe Martinez and Brandon Delpiano followed with two innings each, then Tyler Herman closed the game to give us the victory. NA2 came within a hit from tying the game, but Herman was able to get the final out on a 6-4 force play.
Bogle was staked to a 6 run lead after 3 at bats, despite Tyler's single being their only hit at that point. After NA closed the deficit in half, our bats finally woke up in the fifth. Herman started a two out rally with a single, then Max G and Dylan Gilmore went back to back with booming triples over the outfielder's heads.
In the 6th inning, Abe Martinez followed with his own triple. Luca Riccio laced an infield hit, then Joe Bufi drove in what would be the winning run with a fielder's choice. Jack Gilmore led the 7th off with a single. He was left stranded on third base, despite our next three batters putting the ball in play. Brandon Willerton was moved up in the order to the 2 hole. The move paid dividends, as he walked and scored twice
The team was bolstered by a visit from Adam Foley, who was injured on opening day. Adam seems to be recovering nicely, and is in good spirits.
Bogle continues their road trip to North Arlington next week, with games on Tuesday and Thursday.
