American Legion outscored Stellatos 10-0

American Legion defeated Stellatos 2021 10-0 on Friday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Nicholas Musto induced a fly out from Noah Gonzalez to finish off the game.

Johnny Chaname led American Legion to victory by driving in four runs. Johnny went 2-for-3 at the plate driving in runs on a double in the first, a fielder's choice in the third, and he had a stolen base in the fourth.

In the first inning, American Legion got their offense started when Johnny doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

American Legion tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Johnny and Nicholas all drove in runs in the frame.

One bright spot for Stellatos 2021 was a single by Domenick Infantes in the first inning.

Johnny pitched American Legion to victory. Johnny surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out three. Jayson Bellenger and Nicholas Musto entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Nicholas recorded the last three outs to earn the save for American Legion.

Noah took the loss for Stellatos 2021. The bulldog allowed eight hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking zero.

American Legion had 13 hits in the game. Tyler Claudio, Jayson Bellenger, Johnny, and Nicholas all had multiple hits for American Legion. Tyler led American Legion with four hits in four at bats. American Legion tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Jayson led the way with three.

Domenick went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Stellatos 2021 in hits.
