Savinos open the season with 2-0 win over American Legion

Ryan Lora pitched a masterpiece shutting down Legion over 5 1/3 innings to go along with 15 strikeouts as Captain Jack Nowinski finished up the last 2 batters to combine a no- hitter and 16 strikeouts .
All the scoring Savinos needed happened in the fourth inning as Captain Jack Nowinski collects his second hit was able to steal second base came around to score on Tyler Hermans RBI single . Savinos got 2 doubles in the same abat from Ryan Lora to score Herman to make it 2-0 which would be all Savinos needed . (his first double was called back for runner leaving early)
American legions Sean Bellenger pitched a great game as well .
