Lemanowicz, Dolaghan lead Cricket to a thrilling 8-7 victory Saturday night!

There was plenty of offense in the first inning in game 1 of the playoffs Saturday night. Ryan Brown lead off the game crushing a ball to center field for an inside the park home run. His second of the game, Brown was amazing in game 1 going 4-4 with 2RBI’s and throwing smoke on the mound striking out 7 cricket batters. Century 21 managed to get 4 runs in the top of the first. Cricket would answer in the bottom of the first scoring two of their own highlighted by a Ryan Lemanowicz double. Nick Rizzo hit a hot shot to center which Hollywood Brennen couldn’t handle to score Lemanowicz.

Century scored two more runs in the second with Browns second inside the park homer and Anthony Ricigliano smashing a ball to left center that dented a sign out there. Very close to a Home Run.

Cricket scored two more in the second as well when Jake Dolaghan came up with bases loaded and two outs and ripped a two run double down the line.

Cricket down 7-6 in the 5th was threatening to take the lead with two outs and the bases loaded Rizzo hit a hard grounder to third and Mason Young made a very nice play to get Century out of the inning.

Landon Bonilla came in for Cricket and pitched beautifully to hold Century at 7.

Bottom of the sixth Dolaghan lead off the inning with a base hit off Lopez and then after a few great plate appearances by Jack Eckert, Eli Cardinals, Landon Bonilla and Thomas Cafaro all drawing walks Cricket would win 8-7.

Dolaghan and Lemanowicz were both 3-4 for Cricket with two RBI’s.
