Christian Figeroa, Ryan Lemanowicz, and Nick Rizzo finished off their little league career in style! The three of them were a combined 9-11 with 7 RBI’s to lead Cricket Thursday night. The three boys have been incredibly hot lately each crushing the ball consistently. Each of the boys finished off their 12 year old year batting over .500!!
The game started off with Cricket scoring in the top half of the first after a Christian Figeroa double and then Lemanowicz singling him in. Legion would answer right back with Justin B singling in Tyler Claudio but a perfect relay from center fielder Elia to Jake Dolaghan throwing a great ball home to just get out Jayson Bellenger at the plate! Keeping the score at 1-1. Landon Bonilla made an excellent catch and tag at home!
Cricket would score two more in the top of the second with a productive at bat by Thomas Cafaro working the pitcher hard! Cricket would hold Legion scoreless in the second. Legion would answer with three runs in the bottom of the third after consecutive hits by their big 12 year olds, Tyler Claudio, Jayson Bellenger, Johnny C, and Nick Musto. Hats off to each of them as they all had phenomenal years as well!!
In the top half of the 4th Cricket exploded with 6 runs to take the lead 9-4. After a few walks and another Lemanowicz single, Rizzo delivered the big blow crushing a double to right field scoring two runs. Jake Dolaghan would then single in Rizzo for an RBI. A few more passed balls and Cricket would score two more runs.
Ryan Lemanowicz and Christian Figeroa would combine to pitch a great game keeping the high power offense of Legion to only 5 runs for the game.
Cricket would score 6 more runs in the sixth lead by some crucial at bats drawing walks by Mark Eckert, Jack Quick, Madison Quick, and Chris Penny. The game would end by a fabulous play in left field by Jack Eckert to get the game winning out!!
