Beautiful night for softball as Mail Direct(Lyndhurst) took on Rutherford Jordans on Tuesday. Pitching was at a premium for both pitchers. For Mail Direct it was Allyssa Zelaya who went all 4 innings in a time shortened game. She pitched great giving up 1 hit striking out 8.
Offensively for Mail Direct Zelaya was 1-2 with a single. Leah Andruchowitz shined defensively for Mail Direct with 3 unassisted put outs in the field including one where she lost her shoe running to 3rd base but stayed with it for the out. Leah would also have an RBI for mail direct. Arianna Soto went 1-1 with a single, a walk and 3 SB. Allison Mongelli had 2 walks and a SB. Kyleigh Onnembo had 2 walks and an RBI. Gia Gugliuzza with a hard hit single and run scored and Valentina Deprima with 3 SB.
