Lopez pitches to the minimum to lead Century 21 to victory in the first game of the playoffs!!!!!!

The first playoff game of the best of 3 playoff series featuring Savinos and Century 21. Lopez struck out the side in the top of the 1st. In the bottom of the 1st, Century scored 2 runs highlighted by Lopez's double, Mason Young's single and a double by Damian Hernandez.

Lopez struck out the side in the top of the 2nd. Century put up 1 run in the bottom of the 2nd on an attempted double steal when Nicholas Fortunato threw out the runner attempting to steal 2nd and Sean Reed stole home on the throw.

Lopez struck out the side in the top of the 3rd. Century was held scoreless in the bottom of the 3rd highlighted by Jack De Palma's nifty glove work at 1st and Fortunato throwing out another attempted steal of 2nd.

Lopez struck out 2 in the top of the 4th and Mason Young made a great stab at first and getting the runner out at first with Lopez covering first. Century added a run in the bottom of the 4th. Dominic Van Orden singled and got to third on a throwing error. Van Orden came around to score on a double by Miguel Cedeno.

Lopez struck out the first two batters in the top of the 5th before Savion Jackson hit the ball on the screws right to Mason Young's glove at first base. The rain started to come down heavy in the bottom of the 5th which led to the game being called.

For Savinos.

Jeremiah Ankrah pitched 4 innings and struck out 5 while allowing 0 earned runs.

For Century 21.

Damian Hernandez went 2-2 with 1 RBI and a double. Dominic Van Orden went 1-1 with a run scored. Mason Young went 1-2. Miguel Cedeno went 1-1 with a double. Sam Signa scored a run. Sean Reed scored a run. Tyler Lopez went 1-2 with a double and run scored.

Tyler Lopez pitched 5 innings, striking out 13 out of the 15 batters he faced for a perfect game.
