14U Softball, Jarvis Plumbing KO’s the competition to win the Rec. Jr. Division Championship

Jarvis Plumbing came to play Thursday, after their first loss all season to KO Ent., Tuesday night.

        In the field for Jarvis, 2B Ariana Soto fields a play to 1B Mylah Campbell for an out, while Gabby Bellotti has a big catch on a foul ball in RF and Pitcher Mia Montalto closes things out on batter #3 with a strikeout.

        At bat, Jarvis had a single from Mia Montalto and a triple from Gianna Lembo, putting 3 runs on the board in the bottom of the 1st.

          Top of the 2nd, Jarvis lets up 1 run and has fielded outs from 2B Ariana Soto and Mia Montalto, with 3B Adriana Canaris fields a hit to 2B.

           Jarvis produces another 3 runs in the bottom of the second, with singles from Brooke Harper and Mylah Campbell. While Giana Lembo gets her second triple for the game.

            Top of the third for Jarvis brought a strikeout from Pitcher Mia Montalto, a hit caught and another fielded by Aitana Lozano to 3B Adriana Canaris

                Back at bat, Jarvis is unproductive, scoring no runs

                For the top of the fourth, Jarvis had some errors, allowing 5 runs to score for KO Ent. Mia Montalto has a strikeout, LF Sofia Hechavarria makes a huge catch for an out and Catcher Gianna Lembo snags the third out with a throw down to 3B Adriana Canaris.

         Jarvis produces a single from Giana Lembo and RBI from Mia Montalto for an additional 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth.

             Top of the fifth, Jarvis refuses to let up any runs. 1B Mylah Campbell snags a hit for an out and Pitcher Mia Montalto strikes out one batter and fields a hit to 1B Mylah Campbell

            With the score Jarvis 8 KO 9, Jarvis knew they needed some runs to get out ahead. Aitana Lozano gets a double and Adriana Canaris gets a single. Giana Lembo and Mia Montalto steal home totaling 3 runs for the bottom of the fifth.

            Top of the sixth inning had both teams fired up. In the field, Jarvis Pitcher Mia Montalto had two strikeouts and SS Aitana Lozano closes out the inning fielding a hit to 1B Mylah Campbell, allowing 1 run for KO.

                For what will be their final at bat, Brooke Harper singles and gets to third on Gianna Lembo’s single, and steals home for one last run.

             With the score Jarvis 12, KO 10, Jarvis takes the field knowing they need to shut it down and they did just that. After allowing 1 run, Jarvis’ 3B Adriana Canaris catches two hits and 1B Mylah Campbell ends the game fielding a hit at first, making Jarvis Plumbing the 2022 Softball Jr. Division Champions.

Jarvis Plumbing went 12-1 for their complete season.
